We put together this list of our favorite LGBTQ+ owned Los Angeles businesses to celebrate Pride Month! They are some of our favorite places to visit any day of the year, but we wanted to take a moment to highlight these local, small businesses that are especially deserving of your support this month.
Whit Hazen, Florist
We are always on the hunt for talented florists in Los Angeles, and Whit McClure’s designs bring us so much joy. The bold color palettes and brilliant compositions of her arrangements always leave us in awe.
Black Forest Bakery
Every Tuesday and Saturday you’ll find an adorable vintage van parked on Hillhurst Avenue in Los Feliz, serving up the BEST sourdough bread and pastries. Djosefin Maurer-Soto and her wife Marie started their business during the pandemic, and they have absolutely perfected the sourdough loaf.
SUAY Sew Shop
One of our favorite businesses in Los Angeles, SUAY is a sewing and production shop dedicated to sustainable fashion.
Founder and CEO Lindsay Rose Medoff ensures all products are created from recycled or deadstock fabrics and organically grown fibers.
Cann
These cannabis-infused “social tonics” are the perfect drink to enjoy when you’re trying to avoid alcohol but still have a good time. Based in Venice and founded by Luke Anderson and Jake Bullock, Cann is one of our new favorite products!
POT Ceramics Studio
This community pottery studio was created to serve people of color, the queer community, and youth. Visit one of the two locations in Echo Park or West Adams for private parties, classes, memberships, and more.
Otherwild
You’ve seen the shirt: “THE FUTURE IS FEMALE”. Well, Otherwild is the brand behind the iconic piece. Located in Los Feliz, Otherwild is a store, design studio and event space founded by Rachel Berks.
